GA Sue

Everleigh Drew Ketcher was baptized at Assumption Catholic Church on Sunday, Jan 17, 2010. Sponsors are Ryan and Jill Sunderbrunch (Ami's sister and brother in law). Aunt Cara and Aunt Jesse stood as witnesses at the ceremony. Jill is in her 3rd trimester of her second pregnancy and advised not to travel to Minnesota. Attending the ceremony were Grandma and Grandpa Schumacher and Aunt Cara from Chicago, Grandma and Grandpa Liebelt, Aunt Jesse and Uncle Ben and GA Ann, GU Jeff and GA Sue...all from MN. Everleigh was a very happy girl and accepted her baptism with a smile. She was dressed in a beautiful gown from her Grandma Schumacher. It was a very sweet ceremony with the priest presenting her with a pullover with the name of the church reminding Everleigh that she will always be a member of their congregation now that she has been baptized among them.....nice. Pictures above show some of the events.....We all headed to Scott & Ami's for a wonderful lunch after the ceremony.

Alex's 2nd birthday

Alex Swenson (Jesse and Ben's nephew and our unofficial grandson) had his second birthday party today at the Children's Museum in St. Paul. Here he is with his mommy, daddy and cousin Maddie. As you can see, he's taking it all in.....

Maddie is trying to help out.

Here's Maddie (also 2) helping herself to cake and ice cream...yum....

A Cold Day

It's Saturday, Jan 9 and it's very cold so Everleigh is bundled warmly to visit Grandma's house. I don't think we had any degrees all day...

Week One-2010

Well, it's the first week of January and Everleigh and I are spending a lot of time indoors. Here are some things that Everleigh has been doing and I have been observing about her:

1. She still wakes up happy.....even when she has a cold! Once she knows you have come to rescue her, she gives you a big smile.

2. She has had a cold since new year's but she's been a real trooper. She doesn't like to have anyone try to clear her nose or wipe away the snot, but she comes up happy after.

3. She is on the move! She rolls over occasionally (from front to back) but even when she's laying on the floor and doesn't roll over, she can scooch herself quite a distance.

4. She likes to have her diaper changed. Scott hung a new picture above her changing table (it's bright pink with yellow flowers and lady bugs) and she loves to lay and look at it....often talking and cooing to it.

5. She likes watching tv, especially commercials!....so vigilence is important.

6. I love how she grabs my finger and makes eye contact when she's having her bottle. It's like she's trying to memorize my face or let me know how much she appreciates the feeding.
